Why we created the Network 
The purpose of the Holistic Health Network is to expand holistic healing services and increase  public awareness and understanding about alternative health care practices through support services, educational lectures, workshops, retreats and a printed directory and website.  

The idea of putting together an international resource for trustworthy information on alternative medicine  was created  in 2009 after some friends experienced a desperate search for reliable alternative health information for cancer. One problem was that the South Texas and Northern Mexico Alternative Healer community was not connected through a centralized Internet or print directory. We heard of alternative healing clinics in South Texas and Northern Mexico but could not find any information on them.  Many Healers had gone out of business due to the high operating expenses and their inability to market and advertise their services effectively.

After having to rely on friends and relatives with no medical backgrounds, sales people at the health food stores and local healers  which presented conflicting reports in many areas, the need for objective quality alternative health  information was established and The Texas-Mexico Holistic Healing Network went online. One year later, we developed the "Wellness Partners Program" to help healers cut operating costs and expand their business.

1.     Provide a forum in which business people of all professions can be supported and affirmed in their commitment to a holistic approach to business and life.

2.     To provide an educational forum to promote networking opportunities for Green and Holistic products and service providers.

3.     To promote community outreach by creating marketing events for Green and Holistic products and service providers

4.     To create an bi-national network of holistic health practitioners .

5.     To create an increased holistic community presence and assist the general public in the search for holistic practitioners in the South Texas and Northern Mexico area.

6.     To provide business support for Holistic and Green Businesses including referrals for affordable office space and  marketing support services.

7.     To support the individual in achieving optimal physical, emotional, mental, and spiritual health.

8.     To reducing medical cost by providing medical tourism services for individuals wishing to receive medical treatment in Mexico.

Our Mission is to create an environment and format to support a new way of doing business, based on collaboration, cooperation and the sharing of resources and knowledge. We see this organization as a real power in strengthening the holistic and earth friendly community in the Texas-Mexico Border Area. This is an ambitious project and we have only set up the vision . The development  and structure of the Texas-Mexico Holistic Health Network will be co-created by its members. We ask you to join us and develop a framework that allows this coalition  to grow and prosper.
